Job Vacancy – Fuel Project Worker

26th July 2018

Borehamwood Foodbank are looking for someone to complete a unique project concerning fuel poverty. From our experience we know that fuel poverty pushes people into circumstances where they have to decide to heat or eat.

We have been awarded a grant to allow us to research and set up a fuel bank. We are looking for someone to complete at least 11 days work researching other similar projects, local provision and seeing how Borehamwood Foodbank can best help those facing fuel poverty during the coming winter.

The work will be paid at £110.00 per day plus expenses

You will be expected to meet with foodbank personnel and find out about existing provision, visit other foodbanks and local organisations to find out about provision to tackle fuel poverty, and implement recommendations to volunteers at Borehamwood foodbank.

We are looking for someone who has an interest in Foodbanks and a passion to tackle food and fuel poverty. The candidate will need to work independently, write frequent short reports and be willing to present their findings to groups.

Please email info with your expression of interest by 18th August. We are looking to appoint by 6th September with the project beginning on 10th September and lasting until early 2019.
