Borehamwood Foodbank awarded Tesco Community Grants

Borehamwood Foodbank has secured Tesco Community Grants to the value of £2,500.

The grants were awarded as a result of customers at Tesco Borehamwood and Tesco Potters Bar voting with the blue tokens for the Foodbank at the checkouts over the Summer.

£1,500 will go towards our ‘Healthy Eating: Reach your 5 a Day’ project, which will help us provide fresh nutritional foods at our regular foodbank sessions. And, an additional £1,000 will be spent on our ‘Holiday Lunch Packs for Children’ project. During the school holidays, Borehamwood runs additional sessions, specifically tailored to families, where it offers free school lunch packs for school-aged children.
