Tesco Summer Food Collection Success

Over 700kg of food was collected as part of the Tesco Borehamwood summer food drive over the weekend. And we received more than £250 in cash donations, too.

Local shoppers donated food in store between 15 and 17 July as part of their shop and Borehamwood Foodbank volunteers were on hand to collect the donations and tell people about the great work of the Foodbank.

The food will now be packaged up and given to people in need over the coming weeks.

We want to thank the local community and shoppers for their generosity and support.

Over the summer school holidays, in addition to the regular weekly sessions on Monday afternoons and Thursday mornings, the foodbank will be running Summer Lunch Sessions on a Wednesday 11am - 1pm. The first free school lunch session starts on 21 July and will run each Wednesday until 25 August.
